On the Street July 26, 2009

Bill Cunningham does these wonderful videos of fashion from the streets of New York City. His commentary is fun and his picks are always fascinating to look at. He rides around the city on his bicycle, camera in tow doing thematic shots on a wide variety of fashion-oriented topics.  Today’s is wonderful, full of color and life in the Green Market in Union Square.  Great viewing for a Sunday morning, it almost makes me wish I were in the city right now.

Russia July 19, 2009

 In 2005 I took a trip to Russia.  The 10 day trip started in Moscow and via river cruise we went to St. Petersburg.  The quality of these pictures is not great but here are a few of my photos.  I love Russia and would gladly choose to go back to St. Petersburg. I visited the Soviet Union in 1974; things are vastly different now.    These ladies are in a small town we vistied somewhere on the Volga.  The soldiers are performing their daily ritual in front of a old church on the Kremlin grounds.  And, lastly the advertisement for the Ladies Night was posted on a side street somewhere in St. Petersburgh. so, a little something for the ladies to gaze at this morning.. and tonight when I have more time I will search again for this picture.. or get someone to give me technical advice on converting stone penises into a more useful format! tee hee  This photo doesn’t disappoint!
